This morning I came across this thread Ask HN: Small scripts, hacks and automations you’re proud of? on Hacker News. I read through quite a lot of comments on the thread, some went right over my head but some made sense. Taking some inspiration from that thread and a pang of tech debt that I’ve felt burdened with I’ve decided to change a few things.

Right now this website is just a single index.html file being served through Cloudflare Pages. Whenever I have to make an entry, I manually add the entries with p and div tags, which is just a tad bothersome. The experience of making a new entry is not quite smooth. I don’t mind the simplicity of it, but I think there are some improvements which can be made. For instance I’m thinking of segregating all entries grouped by date i.e. one file for each day’s entries.

I’ll run a sort of build script which will combine all of those files into a single index.html file and then commit, push, deploy as usual.
